On June 20, a history forum was held at Namdaemoon Presbyterian Church (Rev. Son Yun-tak) in Jung-gu, Seoul, commemorating the 130th anniversary of the first Protestant worship service in Korea. Participants highlighted the ministry of missionary Horace Allen, who actualized the spirit of ecumenism and diligently fostered human resources for mission. Allen founded the medical clinic Jejungwon and was its first director. Jejungwon became a root of the church, and also played the role of educational institution.
