On September 2, Rev. Lee Young-hoon, moderator of the Assemblies of God of Korea (Yoido Full Gospel), was elected to the post of executive director of the Christian Council of Korea (CCK). The new Executive Director promised to move proactively to counter the heretical and pseudo religious groups that are harming the security and integration of Korean society.
Rev. Lee ran unopposed, and the 200 delegates who attended the provisional general assembly, held on this day in the grand auditorium of the Korean Christian Ecumenical Building, elected him unanimously with a standing ovation. The newly elected, 20th CCK executive director will lead the organization until January 2016, completing the term of Rev. Hong Jae-cheol, who resigned recently.
