[Asian Games Incheon 2014 D-1] A Worship Service Held for Successful Incheon Asian Games

2014-09-18 16:49

“Lord, grant that the Incheon Asian Games will be held successfully, and that this nation of Korea will play a bridgehead role for sports mission in Asia.”

On September 17, at the First Gymnasium of KBS Sports World, located on Gonghangdae-ro in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, the sounds of prayers by the Christians who packed the spectators’ seats, resounded so strongly that it seemed the gymnasium might take off. On this day, with just two days left before the opening of the 17th Incheon Asian Games, 4,000 some Christians coming from many different areas took part in the “Worship of Prayer for Successful Asian Games.” The worship service was organized by the Christian Sports Council of Korea (Rev. Song Yong-pil, executive director), and its theme was “Asia to Korea, Mission to Asia.”
