The Presbyterian Church in Korea - Hapdong began its general assembly on September 22 at Gyeojassi Church on Bongseon-no in Nam-gu, Gwangju, and elected Rev. Baek Nam-seon of Gwangju Mimun Church as its moderator and Rev. Park Mu-yong of Daegu Hwanggeum Church as vice-moderator. During this GA, to be continued until the 26th, PCK Hapdong’s agenda items include: rearrangement of three electoral districts, granting ordination candidate status to regional seminary graduates, and setting an age limit for the Chongshin University president.
In front of the GA venue a rally took place protesting the Chongshin seminary steering board’s recent decision to effectively block entrance to new women M.Div. students. (Click HERE for more information.)
