The melody of “The Fields Are Ripening” rang out in churches around the country on November 16, Thanksgiving Sunday. Congregations expressed thanks for God’s grace and love during the past year, shared with neighbors the blessings they’d received, and carried out a variety of other activities to spread the Gospel.

Seoul Onnuri Community Church (Rev. Lee Jae-hun) received goods at the church entrance from November 15th, ahead of Thanksgiving Sunday, for delivery to low-income families. The believers, organized according to small groups or departments, contributed 20-kilogram bags of rice, or boxes of grapes, pears or apples. Jo Yeong-bong (59), leader of the relief service team, said, “As their expression of thanks to God on the occasion of Thanksgiving Sunday, the church members donated 500 twenty-kilogram bags of rice…We will deliver the rice and the fruit to neighboring old persons who live alone, and to nearby welfare facilities.” In the photo, bags of rice and boxes of fruit offered by believers for their needy neighbors are piled at the front of the church platform during Thanksgiving Sunday worship on the 16th.(Photo by intern reporter Heo Ran)
