200 some church and citizens’ organizations including the National Evangelical Movement Headquarters, the Busan Council of Conservative Christian Denominations, and the Solidarity Movement Against Homosexuality held a “Rally Against Homosexuality Legislation (Anti-discrimination Law)” on November 17 at Seoul Station Plaza. The organizers of the rally, which brought together more than 2,000 participants, clarified their opposition to the proposed comprehensive anti-discrimination law and to the draft Seoul citizens’ human rights charter, referring to what they viewed as the problematic contents of these and their influence on freedom of Christian belief.
