“End ‘cultural superiority’ mode of mission”: CISJD and NCCK

It has been suggested that the churches reject the “cultural superiority” mode of overseas mission, and the practice of indiscriminate evangelization at home. At the 2nd Symposium on “21st Century Church and Mission,” held jointly by the Christian Institute for the Study of Justice and Development (CISJD) and the National Council of Churches in Korea (NCCK), on November 17 at CISJD’s EZE Hall on Chungjeong-no, Sodaemun-gu, Seoul, a number of theology professors and clergy stated that the Korean churches need to change their aggressive mission and evangelizing methods.
