The Christian Council of Korea (CCK), under the leadership of new Executive Director Rev. Lee Young-hoon, decided at its November 20 board meeting to accept formal objections from Korean churches, seminaries and denominational organizations with regard to CCK member denominations that have been accused as “heretical.” A similar process took place during the term of the former executive director, Rev. Hong Jae-cheol. Now that CCK has moved to make the issue public, advertising it through the media, in addition to distributing the related official document to non-CCK denominations as well as to its own members, commentators in Korean church circles are predicting that this process will be a turning point for Rev. Lee to solve the “heretical groups” issue.
