The Me First Movement Headquarters and the Korea Crime Prevention National Movement Headquarters (KCPN) held an apology relay event titled “I Apologize First,” on December 13 at Cheonggyecheon-no in Jongno-gu, Seoul, with 400 some pastors and believers participating. In the photo, Christian Council of Korea (CCK) Executive Director Rev. Lee Young-hoon and Communion of Churches in Korea (CCIK) Executive Director Rev. Yang Byeong-hui, the first two to appear on stage at the event, hug each other. They apologized publicly for the current situation of division in the Korean church, bowed deeply, and told one another, “I love you,” “I apologize to you,” and “I forgive you.” The organizers of the event have decided to designate every December 13th as a “Day of Apology,” to expand the movement to all the Korean people.
