Christian Movie Screening Made Possible at Local Churches and Organizations

2015-01-21 17:43

The Seoul International Agape Film Festival (SIAFF) and the movie theater Film Forum jointly operate “Movie Theaters Coming to You.” Starting from the movie “Calling” in 2009, the program became available by requests from the viewers who wished to watch good Christian movies that usually have a very limited number of theaters opening with a short showing period. Individual churches or groups can choose a particular movie and invite the program to their places, or sponsor other churches or groups to enjoy the program at their locations. Available movies include recently opened Christian movies such as “The Follower, Ok Han-heum” and “He Who Loves the World.”

Programmer Jo Hyeon-gi of Film Forum said, “It seems that movies are the best way to remind the Christians of their mission. I hope the Christian movies become a tool for renewing our Christian faith.” (Visit filmforum.kr for more information.)

The 12th SIAFF, on the other hand, will be held for seven days from April 23 to 29. SIAFF’s international short movie competition accepts submissions now until February 13. For more information, visit siaff.kr or call +82-2-743-2536.
