Happy Now (board chair: Rev. Gil Ja-yeon) and some 50 persons related to church circle organizations held a “Big Party of Hope” (photo) on February 20 at Truly Good Friends, a free meals center for homeless persons near Seoul Station. They served rice dumpling soup to 500 some homeless persons, washed dishes, and cleaned up the place. For three days from the 18th, they shared their warm hearts by distributing mandarin oranges, pears and rice cakes; and they prayed for the homeless persons.

The participants remembered the late Rev. Kim Beom-gu, former representative of Truly Good Friends, who lived with homeless persons near Seoul Station for 25 years until he passed away last month. Among the homeless, those who had relied on and followed Rev. Kim were particularly heartbroken by his absence. Seven former clients of Truly Good Friends are now pastors following graduation from seminary.
