On November 19, 40 some Christian and general civil organizations, including Chosen People’s Network and Christian Think Tank, held a press conference (photo) in front of the statue of General Lee Sun-shin at Gwanghwamun Plaza, Seoul, and announced the launch of the “Council of Civil Organizations for Prevention and Cure of Alcoholism.” As part of its drive to have the National Assembly pass legislation dealing with alcoholism, the council said it will carry out a one-million signatures campaign.
