“If it helps disabled persons, then it’s something churches should do”

Hwamoggy (“harmony”), a seven-month old puppy in training to be a guide dog for the blind, has his own seat during a worship service at Seongnam Bundang Woori Church (Rev. Lee Chan-su). Deacon Jang Gui-rye (on the right), a puppy walker, brings Hwamoggy along with her to Bible study and worship services. Some churches have banned animals’ entry to their “sanctuaries.” Rev. Lee Chun-su commented, “It is something that a church should do,” and asked the church members to understand and accommodate Hwamoggy.
