“Now I have a dream”: Peruvian KFHI Hope World Cup Team

2016-08-25 11:22

Special children’s soccer games will be held from this September 6 to 8 in Seoul. Korea Food for the Hungry International (president: Yu Won-shik) is hosting the “2016 KFHI Hope World Cup” for the children in its Child Development Programs in 10 countries: Brazil, Peru, Vietnam, India, Nepal, the Philippines, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, and South Korea. From August 8 to 13, I visited Amauta region on the outskirts of Lima, Peru, with Missionary Kim Jung-won (38) of the KFHI 001 Center, to see how the Peruvian children in these disadvantaged villages are preparing for their upcoming event in Korea.

Being held for the first time this year, the Hope World Cup has been designed by KFHI to nurture the dreams and unlimited potentiality of children who are disadvantaged by poverty.
