On April 21, Seoul Full Gospel Church (Rev. Han Byeol) in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and the Christian Council of Koreans in Japan (co-representatives: Revs. Lee Byeong-yong & Cho Nam-su) held a joint “Korea-Japan Citizens Easter Festival in Commemoration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation” in Osaka, Japan. This was the first Easter event to be open to the public in the Kansai region, which includes Osaka. It was also particularly meaningful because this was the Council’s first Easter event since the merger of the two local Korean mission organizations. Rev. Han Byeol commented, “Korea and Japan are in conflict in several contexts, but this event proved that we can come together and be one through spirituality.”
