Christian publisher Duranno said that a book by Kenneth Bae (48·Korean name 배준호), “Not Forgotten: The True Story of My Imprisonment in North Korea” (cover photo) will come out this May in Korean as well in English.

A source from the publisher said on March 30, “The book ‘Not Forgotten’ depicts his experiences from the time of his arrest up to his release, and will be published in early May by HarperCollins. We plan to publish a Korean version later the same month. Mr. Bae is planning to visit Korea when the Korean version comes out.”

The book’s name relates to the more than 450 letters Bae received from all around the world while he was detained. In the book promotion video clip, Bae says the letters reminded him that he was not forgotten.

Bae was arrested in North Korea after he entered the country on November 3, 2012. He was sentenced the following year to 15 years’ imprisonment and hard labor. He was released on November 8, 2014, along with fellow American Matthew Todd Miller. Currently Bae is taking part in efforts to get Otto Frederick Warmbier and Rev. Im Hyeon-soo released from North Korea.
