On August 6, the Far East Broadcasting Company (Kim Jang-hwan, board chair) observed its 60th anniversary with the holding of a baptism service for more than 5,000 soldiers in the swimming pool of Nonsan Army Training Center (photo), located at the front line in South Chungcheong Province. It was the largest frontline baptism service in Korean history. Far East Broadcasting Company delivered 110,000,000 won in offerings for the ongoing construction of the Yeonmudae Soldiers Church at this Army training center, which is to be completed in June next year.
