Yu Byeong-eon, “Nothing in the Bible says you’ll go to hell for murder”

It has become known that Salvation Sect founder Yu Byeong-eon (73) stated in a book he authored, “Nothing in the Bible says you’ll go to hell for murder,” and “It is possible for murder not to be in conflict with the law.”

Areobago People, a group of ministers researching heretical cults, opened a seminar on May 8 at Jeil Shopping Center in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do, during which they pointed out, “Yu’s book contains the self-centered, self-important values-perspective that is common to anti-social pseudo-religious cult leaders in general.”

“As we see in his book, Yu’s views are based on a low ethical standard that considers even murder to be of no consequence,” said Areobago People Representative Lee Young-ho (68), who also serves as director of the Right Faith Education Center of the Communion of Churches in Korea. “Yu’s twisted thinking, which not only blindly criticizes the legitimate church but goes so far as to throw out social and ethical standards, stems from the Salvation Sect’s peculiar, wrong doctrine that ‘Once you receive salvation, whatever wrongs you may commit, it will no longer matter.’”
