“Help Us Overcome 55-Year History of Division and Live in Harmony”

On August 10 at Sarang Church (Rev. Oh Jeong-hyeon), located on Banpodaero in Seochogu, Seoul, a special confession of faith was expressed by pastors coming together for the first time in 55 years. The councils of former moderators of the Presbyterian Church of Korea (PCK) Tonghap and PCK Hapdong denominations?split in two since 1959 over differences with regard to World Council of Churches (WCC) membership and other issues?confessed their faith with one voice at the “United Prayer Meeting for Healing and Restoration of the Korean Church.” 40 some leaders of the two denominations and more than 10,000 church members took part in the worship service.
