On September 12, the Christian Service Council for the 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014 (President: Rev. Choi Seong-gyu) held an opening ceremony of the Christian worship hall, located on the fifth floor of an elementary school in the athletes village on Moraenae-ro in Namdong-gu, Incheon, and officially began its activities. The Council will organize services on Sundays (10 a.m. and 7 p.m.), early mornings (6 a.m. every day) and Wednesday evenings in the Christian worship hall from September 19 to October 4. On Sundays, there will be an English service as well for foreign athletes and staff members. The Council estimates approximately 30% of the 13,000 participating athletes and staff members are Christians.
