On June 19, Sae Eden Church (Rev. So Gang-seok) in Yongin city, Gyeonggi-do, held a “Worship Service with U.S. Veterans in Commemoration of the 66th Anniversary of the Korean War Ceasefire” at its main chapel, and the church members expressed their gratitude for the veterans’ sacrifice and dedication. Sixty-six U.S. veterans and their families and 200 Korean veterans participated in the service. Sae Eden’s Sunday-school children dressed up in traditional Korean costumes and welcomed the veterans, waving the Korean and U.S. national flags.

From June 20 to 23, the invited veterans will visit various war-related sites including Seoul National Cemetery, Panmunjeom, Dora Observatory, and the War Memorial of Korea.

Every year since 2006, Sae Eden Church has invited Korean War veterans to visit Korea, and so far 3,500 veterans and their families from seven countries including the U.S. and Canada have come.
