The Korea Baptist Convention (KBC; Rev. Yu Yeong-shik, moderator) opened its 106th regular general assembly on September 16, for four days, at Songdo Convensia in Incheon (photo). At this assembly, KBC will work toward rebuilding unity among the Korean church, collaborating with the recent efforts by CCK and CCIK, and will also discuss ways to officially announcing opposition against homosexuality on the denominational level. This year the assembly includes the election of its secretary general, which takes place every five years.
