“Baptist collaboration with the Korean church will bring a turning point in world mission”

Ngwedla Paul Msiza, President of the Baptist World Alliance (BWA), met with Kukmin Daily recently and spoke about BWA’s wish to work together with Korean missionaries for world mission, saying, “Korea is the country with the second largest number of missionaries in the world. I’m sure they will bring about a turning point in world mission if they work together with the one hundred million Baptist Christians throughout the world.”

Rev. Msiza is from South Africa, and was appointed to a 5-year term as BWA President in July 2015. Recently, from 2001 to 2010, he served as General Secretary of the Baptist Convention of South Africa (BCSA). He visited Korea to join the “Spiritual Growth Rally for Baptist Pastor Couples,” held on May 9-12 at Hanwha Resort Phoenix Park in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do.

In his conversation with Kukmin Daily, Rev. Msiza said, “God wants all the world churches to be one, not to mention the Baptist Church. Based on the crucial role played by the Korean Baptist Convention in BWA, we hope to collaborate in various fields with the broader Korean church, a leader in world mission.”
