The 2018 Reunification Vision Camp opened on January 16 at Team Vision Center in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, to continue for four nights and three days, with the theme “Land of Peace, Reunified Korea.” Organized by six reunification and campus mission organizations including Revival Korea and Korea Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC Korea), the mission organizations and North Korea experts have gathered in one place to discuss various issues related to reunification through the Gospel. This is the camp’s 11th consecutive year.

The first day’s main lecturer, CCC representative Park Seong-min (photo), proposed, “Let’s become an outpost for God’s work.” He said in his sermon, “It has become difficult to talk about the Good News and hope for the world, with the anti-Christianity sentiment so widespread in society. What is crucial for us Christians in this reality is the clarity of our dream and purpose and the way we strive to fulfill our mission. Let us be Christians who practice the vision of reunification in our daily lives, with the assurance that God is working with us.”

The camp’s participants include some 200 college students interested in reunification, pastors in North Korean ministry, and former North Korean residents. On the last day, the 19th, they will visit the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) with visiting Prof. Yu Gwan-ji of Methodist Theological University.
