As the 17th Asian Games closed, church circles wrapped up their service and mission activities as well. During the Asian Games, held in Incheon, Korea, pastors and believers of churches in the Incheon region organized volunteers to cheer on the athletes and staff members in various ways. Christian athletes and staff who participated in the Games could attend early morning prayers and worship services at the Athletes Village Church. On September 4, the church held a closing service at a Christian worship hall located in the Athletes Village on Moraenae-ro in Namdong-gu, Incheon. Rev. Lim Taek-gwon, former president of Asia United Theological Seminary, said in his sermon, titled “Race of Faith (Hebrews 12:1~3),” “Just like the athletes who endure difficulties and do their best in the games, we believers as well should run the race of life in faith, looking to Jesus.”
