Korea Campus Crusade for Christ (Rev. Park Seong-min, representative) opened its “2016 CCC National University Students Training Camp” (photo) on June 27, at Phoenix Park in Hanhwa Resort, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangeon-do. The five-day camp has brought together more than 10,000 university students from the US, Canada, Mexico, Laos and other countries, as well as Korea. Among the participants are 800 some non-Christians.

CCC Representative Rev. Park Seong-min, the main speaker at the evening gathering, said in his sermon, “This world absolutely was not made by accident…Not to know God in one’s life is a loss; in seeking God you will experience abundant and meaningful life.” From the second day on, camp participants will select from among more than 220 optional lectures on such topics as discipleship training, Bible interpretation, vision exhibitions, and counseling on life direction and dating. The camp will also have a “Unification Hall” where visitors can discuss evangelical-style peace and unification, and a “Mission Hall” offering experiential learning about world mission. After the camp ends on July 1, the participants will tour various regions doing “beggar pilgrimage evangelism” and “urban evangelism,” spreading the Gospel through short-term mission activity.
