“Our children…” Ansan Churches Mourn

2014-04-17 15:13

Churches in Ansan area were overwhelmed with shock at the sinking of the ferry “Seweol” on April 16, and prayed fervently for the survival and rescue of the missing persons. Because the second-year students of Ansan’s Danweon High School were aboard the ferry for a school excursion to Jeju Island, all the churches in the Ansan area were engaged in sending out text messages with prayer themes, and checking on the safety of their high school members. Wednesday evening worship services in the Ansan area were filled with tearful, grieving prayers.

In the photo, on the evening of Wednesday, April 16, members of Ansan Kwanglim Church express their heartfelt prayers for the safe return home of Danweon High School students and others who went missing in the Seweol sinking. Three members of the church’s high school department were on the ferry with the Danweon High School group and went missing.
