The “World Mission Society Church of God (WMS COG, formerly known as Ahn Sahng-hong Witness Society)” has filed an additional lawsuit against Kukmin Daily, this time claiming compensation of 200 million won for alleged damages. The total amount of compensation demanded by WMS COG through the three lawsuits it has brought against Kukmin Daily now totals 640 million won.
In its petition to the Seoul Southern District Court on August 14, WMS COG demanded that Kukmin Daily correct or refute what it called false reporting, and pay compensation for having damaged the reputation of WMS COG, through its article “Promotion of End-of-World Theory Targets Women in Their 20s~40s” (April 11, page 30, Click here for the article in Korean).
