In recognition of the 64th anniversary of the Korean War, Cheorwon Borderline Peace School has begun a DMZ Peace Pilgrimage. As its members march through the demilitarized zone, they are meditating on the pains caused by the war. 15 persons including the school’s students and its Representative Rev. Jung Ji-seok are participating in the pilgrimage, which started on June 24 at the Peace Dam in Hwacheon and will continue for 150km, reaching the Reunification Observatory in Goseong on the 28th.
The Cheorwon Borderline Peace School was established in Cheorwon, Gangweon Province last year, marking the 60th anniversary of the Korean War ceasefire, to raise up peacemakers on the Korean Peninsula.
